Mercer Bachelor of Business Administration

Faculty Profiles

Mercer Business professors serve as academic advisors to business students, and guide them throughout the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program.  Freshman students are connected with their faculty advisors at the onset of classes, and remain with their advisors until they develop a focus of study in their sophomore year.  At that point, students are assigned to professors within their disciplines of study; these professors work with students to translate personal strengths, values, goals, and vision into a course of study (managed academic path to success – MAPS).

Mercer Business professors are committed to the success of business students they teach and mentor.  Unlike many schools who utilize graduate students to teach and advise students, Mercer Business is comprised of faculty with double-edged expertise who offer students personalized attention inside and outside the classroom.  More than 90% of Mercer Business faculty hold a Ph.D. or equivalent and are key figures in their business communities.  Faculty serve as consultants, training specialists, entrepreneurs, and corporate advisors in their professional communities.  This translates into professional experiences that faculty use to advise students, connect students to a network of opportunities, and enrich classroom material with real-world scenarios.  At Mercer Business, teaching students is faculty's primary focus.

Mercer Business students and alumni frequently cite the impact their professors have had in shaping their career goals and contributing to their current successes.
