Middle Georgia Economic Outlook Survey

The BB&T Center for Undergraduate Research in Public Policy and Capitalism and the Stetson School of Business and Economics at Mercer University conduct the Middle Georgia Economic Outlook Survey, a semiannual electronic survey of economic sentiment answered by a wide range of businesses in Middle Georgia. The survey was first implemented in December of 2014.

The goal of this project is to gather information to try to understand the challenges and opportunities identified by businesses in our region. The data generated will be used by our students and faculty to elaborate research projects that could help identify institutional challenges to economic freedom and development.

This project is possible because of the collaboration of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, the Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce, the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, the Milledgeville-Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, the Jones County/Gray Chamber of Commerce, the Roberta-Crawford County Chamber of Commerce, the Perry Chamber of Commerce and the Wilkinson County Chamber of Commerce.
