Program Format
The Executive MBA is a 16-month program. Classes are scheduled on alternating Saturdays, supplemented by faculty-led webinars. Also included are four intensive retreats which introduce each thematic curriculum module, and two field residencies, one domestic and one international. The program integrates the most current technology found in today’s international business environment.
Partnering with Business Leaders
Candidates in the Executive MBA program have the opportunity to partner with and learn from local business executives, many of whom work at the “C” level or operate their own successful businesses. Members of the class will fine tune their skills by working closely with these business leaders on challenges and opportunities found in a multitude of industries.
Global Business Simulation
The Executive MBA class participates in a real-world business simulation used by Fortune 500 companies to develop executive talent. The class will compete with other MBA students around the globe, utilizing communication, team empowerment and critical thinking skills learned in the program. Mercer’s Executive MBA classes consistently place in the top ten among competing MBA programs globally.
Retreats
The retreats provide an opportunity for concentrated study on specific business topics, and are designed to introduce upcoming modules and residencies. The retreats also present numerous opportunities to network with peers, faculty, and guest speakers.
International Residency
The international residency provides a global awareness by immersing participants in a different culture and business environment. The Executive MBA class meets with top officials of foreign companies successfully competing in emerging global markets. Previous classes have visited with leaders from various sectors such as government, banking, manufacturing, and agriculture in Central and South America, Europe, and Asia.
Domestic Residency
The domestic residency, conducted in a major American commercial center chosen by the faculty, offers an enhanced perspective on current political, financial and regulatory issues affecting businesses in the U.S. During the residency, the Executive MBA class will tour important businesses, as well as financial and political organizations, meeting with senior leadership.
Executive Forum of Mercer University
While enrolled in the program, Executive MBA candidates receive membership in Mercer’s highly-regarded Executive Forum. This business lecture series provides an opportunity to hear from some of the country's most prominent speakers, while networking with business and community leaders.

The Executive MBA program incorporates today’s technology by extending the classroom experience through faculty-led webinars, and continuous web conferencing.

Mercer’s Cecil B. Day Graduate and Professional Campus in Atlanta
Located on 200 heavily wooded acres inside the Atlanta Perimeter, the campus is convenient to Interstates 85 and 285 and offers ample free parking to students. Executive MBA students enjoy access to campus facilities including the Swilley Library, computer labs, campus-wide wireless access, meeting and study rooms, student health and counseling services, and the Sheffield Student Center, which houses a full fitness center, basketball courts, and an indoor, Olympic-sized pool.
Career Counseling; Executive Skills Coaching; Lifestyle and Wellness Counseling
Executive MBA students and alumni have access to a variety of free services offered through The Office of Career Services, including career assessments, résumé updates, interview coaching, and executive networking. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to work with professional coaches to enhance their executive skills, and receive counseling and training in lifestyle, health, and wellness improvement issues.
