Profile

Professor Chen earned his Ph.D. degree in Artificial Intelligence and Accounting from the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh in 1992; MBA from Youngstown State University in 1985; M.Ed. from National Taiwan Normal University in 1979; and B.B.A. from National Taiwan University in 1976. His research interests are in expert systems, accounting information systems, international accounting and Chinese economic developments; and his teaching interests are in Accounting Information Systems, Auditing, Financial Accounting and Management Accounting. Prior to joining Mercer University, he taught at Furman University in South Carolina. He has published in journals including Innovation: Management, Policy & Practice, the New Review of Applied Expert Systems, the CPA Journal, Interfaces. He teaches MBA and EBA courses at Mercer.
