Dual Master of Business Administration/Doctor of Physical Therapy
The Dual Master of Business Administration/Doctor of Physical Therapy degree is offered in partnership with Mercer University’s College of Health Professions and the Stetson School of Business and Economics. This strong combined program is designed for students pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree who are interested in learning more about the role of the physical therapist in administrative and business aspects. Sharing the goal of ethical business and practice, this dual degree program will strengthen the knowledge and ability of graduates to function in a global healthcare market.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements for both the Stetson School of Business and Economics and Mercer’s College of Health Professions.
The MBA curriculum will prepare individuals for advancement into management or administrative levels by further developing management and leadership skills. The MBA program incorporates up to nine credit hours of leadership courses from the Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum, which is applied toward the 36-hour Master of Business Administration degree.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy curriculum will provide a strong foundation in basic, applied, and physical therapy science courses.
Individuals who successfully complete Mercer’s Dual MBA/DPT degree program increase their marketability, and are better positioned to take on leadership and administrative positions in both the healthcare and business fields.
Individuals who successfully complete this program can go on to work as professionals in positions including: practice manager, owner, healthcare consultant, healthcare administrator, rehabilitation director, and clinical manager.
Applicants should indicate on the application to the College of Health Professions their intent to also apply to the Stetson School of Business and Economics. Applicants must be admitted separately by each school.
