Dr. Tammy N. Crutchfield was the Director of Undergraduate Programs from 2004 to 2010 and is a Professor of Marketing at the Stetson School of Business and Economics in Macon. Dr. Crutchfield believes that the best way to build a marketing student’s confidence in his or her knowledge of the field is to push for excellence in a hands-on learning environment and drive home learning with a challenging real-world project.  In both the professional sales and the marketing research and management courses, the philosophy is practiced.  Mercer University recognized this achievement in classroom instruction by awarding Dr. Crutchfield the Vulcan Innovations in Teaching Award.

Tammy Crutchfield's current senior capstone marketing teams operate as for-profit and not-for-profit "businesses".  Traffick Jam educates and empowers Middle GA middle and high school age students on the issue of sex trafficking.  Decoding Freedom supports the work of anti-sex trafficking missions and organizations in Middle GA including their sister company, Traffick Jam, by holding events and selling objects of value to those who care about this social issue.  Both projects will be sustained and carried on from year-to-year.

Before pursuing her Ph.D., Dr. Crutchfield worked in industry for seven years in the fields of production management, distribution, and financial management.  She consults with professional service and not-for-profit firms in the areas of marketing research and strategy.  She has published in numerous journals including the Journal of Advertising, Journal of Service Research, the Journal of Advertising Research, the Journal of the Academy of Business Education, Services Marketing Quarterly, Health Marketing Quarterly, and the Journal of Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Marketing.  Apart from work, she finds much joy in reading her bible, discovering good places to travel and eat out, and hanging out with family and friends.
