Graduate Admissions

Admission requirements

Applicants seeking graduate admission must have a bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree with an acceptable grade point average from a college or university accredited by an institutional accreditor recognized by the U.S. Department of Education; a major in business is not required. The admission decision is based upon assessment of the applicant’s ability for successful graduate study.

Test Optional

Mercer’s Stetson-Hatcher School of Business is Test Optional. This admission policy allows graduate applicants to apply to Mercer’s School of Business and be considered for admission without submitting GMAT or GRE test scores. Students may apply without test scores and will submit a statement of purpose on their application. To help you understand our Test Optional policy, we have included some information below.

March 1: Spring Session II

October 1: Fall Session II
December 1: Spring Session I

Applicants may still apply after the priority deadline and will be admitted on a rolling basis prior to the start of the term.

Application checklist

Submit all of the following items to complete your application to the program:

  • $50 Non-refundable Application Fee ($100 for international applicants)
  • GMAT or GRE Test scores or Test Optional Statement of Purpose
    All graduate School of Business applicants have the option of including GMAT or GRE test scores in their application for admission or applying as Test Optional. If you choose to include test scores, you may submit unofficial copies of the score report for initial review, but an official score report will be required for applicants upon admission.
  • Statement of Purpose
    Applicants applying under Mercer’s Test Optional policy will submit a statement of purpose on their application. The statement of purpose is designed to provide our admissions team with insight into who you are as an individual and leader. In 500 words or less, tell us about yourself and why you chose Mercer’s School of Business and your program of study.
  • Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions
    Unofficial transcripts may be submitted for application review; official transcripts are required upon admission. Health Care MBA and Innovation MBA applicants must submit official transcripts for application review.

    Transcripts must be submitted from ALL previously attended institutions. Former Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer transcript. Applicants may upload unofficial transcripts via the application portal, or email copies to the Office of Admissions. Unofficial or official copies should be sent to business.admissions@mercer.edu or MaconMBA@mercer.edu for Macon-based MBA programs. Official transcripts may also be mailed to:

    Upload a copy of your current résumé to your graduate application portal, or submit a copy to business.admissions@mercer.edu, or MaconMBA@mercer.edu for Macon-based MBA programs. Need guidance developing your résumé? Mercer’s Center for Career and Professional Development for the School of Business offers a free template below to assist you. Be sure to include your education and work history. Full-Time MBA and M.S. Business Analytics applicants are encouraged to use the provided templates.

Admission decisions cannot be made until all application materials have been received.

Additional Requirements for Combined Degree Applicants
