Mercer’s faculty, in partnership with respected business leaders, have designed a cross-thematic approach that teaches candidates to convert these key competencies into skill-based outcomes:

Curriculum content is divided into four thematic modules, each beginning with a retreat that offers concentrated study on specific business topics and leadership development. The ten-day international business residency immerses students in a different culture and a competitive business marketplace where they have the opportunity to learn from top executives of companies that are successfully competing in the global marketplace.

Executive MBA students are aspirational and experienced leaders within their organizations seeking an advanced degree with a global perspective. The EMBA classroom is comprised of skilled professionals, with career levels ranging from professional and first-level management, to mid-level management positions.

Individuals who successfully complete the Executive MBA degree program can go on to work as business professionals in positions including: global mobility manager, lead operations manager, senior regional manager, consulting manager, strategic initiatives director, portfolio manager, or compliance officer. Graduates find that the Executive MBA prepares them for executive-level roles, such as chief operating officer, vice president of administration, vice president of development, and chief executive officer.

Throughout the four retreats, students will further develop their leadership skills and meet with an executive career coach to plan individual career paths.

Students enrolled in the Executive MBA program are granted membership in The Executive Forum of Mercer University. Presented by BB&T, this corporate and community outreach program at Mercer's Stetson School of Business and Economics is a highly regarded resource for working professionals in the metro Atlanta area and surrounding Mercer's Macon campus throughout Central Georgia.

The Executive Forum features an annual business speaker series that provides members the opportunity to hear from some of the nation's most prominent business and civic thought leaders. Members also enjoy networking with local and regional business and community leaders. The student membership benefit provides Executive MBA candidates access to cutting-edge information on current business, economic and political trends combined with a unique and valuable networking resource.

Applicants for the Executive Master of Business Administration program must hold a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution; a major in business is not required. Professionals with varied backgrounds and diverse undergraduate degrees are encouraged to apply.

A new cohort begins in January 2016.

    A GMAT score may be waived for qualified students.

    Submit the required application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Mercer University.

  • Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions
    Submit an official transcript from each college or university previously attended. Former Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer University transcript.

    In 500 words or less, discuss your reasons for pursuing the Executive MBA program at Mercer and explain how you believe this program will enhance your career and personal goals.

    Your in-person interview will be scheduled upon completion and submission of all others materials.

  • Quantitative Test
    This brief assessment will be available online after completion and submission of your application.

A non-refundable $100 tuition deposit is required upon acceptance into the program to secure your spot in the cohort. The deposit is applied to the first semester’s tuition.


Financial Planning

Students enrolling in the Executive MBA can take advantage of federal and/or private loan programs to assist with covering the costs of tuition. Mercer University's Office of Student Financial Planning is equipped to provide up-to-date information on financial assistance available to graduate students via federal loan programs.

Non-U.S. citizens or students who graduated from a non-U.S. university must also complete the following requirements to be evaluated for admission:

  • Evaluation of Foreign Credentials
    Applicants who completed all or part of their education abroad are required to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service. A Course-by-Course and Grade Point Average Equivalent Evaluation is required for admission. You must submit an official sealed copy of your evaluation with your application materials.

  • Official Translations
    Documents submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by official translations.

  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
    A TOEFL or IELTS score not more than two years old is required for international applicants whose primary language is not English. Official score reports must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions by the Educational Testing Service. Use institution code 5025 for submission of official score reports. Unofficial copies of the score report may be included with the application for initial review and evaluation, but an official score report will be required for applicants who are offered admission.

    Exception: A TOEFL score is not required of international applicants who have attended another U.S. institution and completed freshman English Composition I and II with a grade of "C" or higher.
