Special Consideration Pathway

Continue earning the prestige, respect, and competitive edge that comes with being a Mercer Bear by seamlessly transitioning into a graduate business program through the University’s Special Consideration Program. The pursuit of lifelong learning doesn’t have to end with your undergraduate degree; go further with a Mercer graduate business degree.

Eligible Programs

Gain special consideration for one of the following business programs at Mercer within two years of graduation.

 MBA Programs

  • Evening MBA
  • Full-Time (Day) MBA
  • Online MBA
  • Combined MBA/Master of Accountancy

Other Graduate Business Programs

  • Master of Accountancy
  • Master of Science in Business Analytics
  • Master of Science in Integrative Business

Program Benefits

  • Apply as test optional to be considered for admission without submission of GMAT or GRE scores. Test optional applicants will submit a statement of purpose on their application.
  • Receive the Double Bear Scholarship for the entire length of the degree program, $3,500 scholarship for full-time enrollment or $1,750 scholarship for half-time enrollment.

Program Requirements

Requirements for Bachelor of Business Administration Students

  • All BBA degree requirements have been met and a minimum of 30 semester hours of undergraduate coursework must be completed at Mercer’s School of Business and 32 semester hours at Mercer.
  • An overall grade point average of 3.0 (including transferred hours), overall grade point average of 3.0 at Mercer, a 3.0 grade point average in all business core curriculum courses, and a 3.0 grade point average in the business minor.
  • Earned a minimum grade of C in all business coursework at Mercer.
  • GPA requirements must be maintained through graduation to be eligible for special consideration.

Requirements for Non-Bachelor of Business Administration Students

  • Undergraduate degree requirements have been met with at least 32 semester hours completed at Mercer.
  • Completed a minimum of statistics and math, including at least STA 126 or MATH 220 and one of the following: MAT 191, MAT 141, or MATH 130.
  • An overall grade point average of 3.0 (including transferred hours), overall grade point average of 3.0 at Mercer, a 3.0 grade point average in all business core curriculum courses (if applicable), and a 3.0 grade point average in all major courses at Mercer.
  • Earned a minimum grade of C in all business, math, and major coursework at Mercer.
  • GPA requirements must be maintained through graduation to be eligible for special consideration.
