Navigating today’s complex health care system requires thorough education and clinical practice. It also means collaborating with various stakeholders to formulate strategies for providing excellent patient care. Through Mercer’s Combined Master of Business Administration (MBA)/Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), students learn how to improve the mobility and well-being of others and master the business and administration side of health care.
Offered in partnership between Mercer’s School of Business and College of Health Professions, the program is designed for students pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree who are interested in learning more about the role of the physical therapist in administrative and business aspects.

- Strengthen the knowledge and ability to function in a global health care market
- Apply certain course credits between programs to satisfy both degree requirements
Students must meet the admissions requirements for both the College of Health Professions and the School of Business. Students will apply to each school and must be admitted to both schools before qualifying for the combined degree program. Students will enroll in Online or Evening MBA courses on Mercer’s Atlanta campus for the first year of the program and begin physical therapy coursework during the second year of the program on Mercer’s Atlanta campus. The combined degree program maybe completed within four years when enrolled as a full-time student.
Individuals who successfully completed the Combined MBA/DPT program may pursue a variety of opportunities in hospital leadership and roles, including practice owner, clinical director, practice partner, and more.
