Mercer’s Full-Time (One Year) Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is a one-year transformational educational experience and a gateway to the Atlanta business market, launching individuals into the field through faculty mentorship, challenging graduate-level study, networking, special events and face-to-face opportunities with potential employers. This program offers a unique opportunity to earn an accelerated MBA in as little time as 10 months right in the middle of the Southeast’s major business hub.

Unlike many MBA programs at other institutions, Mercer’s Full-Time MBA does not require work experience for admission to the program, making it an ideal choice for both new college graduates and adults returning to school who are seeking a career in business leadership. The program is offered in a cohort model, which means that students will move through the program together—fostering collaboration and networking.

The Full-Time Master of Business Administration curriculum leads students to develop an understanding of human behavior, attitudes and skills necessary to achieve effective team-building and working relationships. The average age is 26 years old with three or more years of experience. Students in the Full-Time MBA are driven, high achieving and fully immersed in career services throughout the entire program.

Individuals who successfully complete Mercer's Full-Time MBA degree program can go on to work as business professionals in positions including: market researcher, financial analyst, healthcare administrator, supply chain analyst, customer engagement manager, account manager, business representative, or associate brand and product management associate.

Mentor Program

Mercer University’s Full-Time MBA Mentor Program is an opportunity for students to connect with highly accomplished, seasoned alumni in their fields of interest. Alumni will provide career-related, professional, and guidance to students based on their personal and business experiences. Throughout the program, students will receive constructive feedback in regards to goals and skills. This program will assist students in the transition from academic life to work life. 

Applicants for the Full-Time Master of Business Administration program must hold a bachelor's degree with a qualifying grade point average from a regionally accredited institution; a major in business is not required. Students without a bachelor of business administration or equivalent qualifying coursework will enroll in a Business Foundations Module to fulfill curriculum pre-requisites.

The Full-Time Master of Business Administration program enrolls students four times per year in January, March, August, and October. The next session starts August 17, 2020.

Applicants may still apply after the priority deadline and will be admitted on a rolling basis prior to the start of the term.

  • $50 Non-refundable Application Fee ($100 for international applicants)
    Submit the required application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Mercer University.

The School of Business is waiving application fees at this time.


  • Official GMAT or GRE Test Score
    Applicants must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and achieve a qualifying score. Applicants holding a graduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university or an equivalent international graduate degree may waive the GMAT requirement. Unofficial copies of the score report may be included with the application for initial review and evaluation, but an official score report will be required for applicants who are offered admission.

Applicants for Fall 2020 may be admitted without submitting test scores if they meet other admissions criteria.


  • Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions

    Submit an official transcript from each college or university previously attended. Former Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer University transcript. You may submit official copies by:

Financial Planning
Students enrolling in the Full-Time MBA can take advantage of federal and/or private loan programs to assist with covering the costs of tuition. Mercer University’s Office of Student Financial Planning is equipped to provide up-to-date information on financial assistance available to graduate students via federal loan programs.

Non-U.S. citizens or students who graduated from a non-U.S. university must also complete the following requirements to be evaluated for admission:

  • Evaluation of Foreign Credentials

    Applicants who completed all or part of their education abroad are required to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service. This evaluation must be completed by an approved  NACES evaluator or Lisano International. We recommend using Josef Silny or World Education Services.

    Professional transcript evaluations of college or university transcripts must include a course-by-course evaluation with GPA calculation.

    We must have an original document provided by the evaluation service sent directly to Mercer University. Transcripts from any U.S. College attended must also be provided.

  • Official Translations
    Documents submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by official translations.
     
  • Proof of English Proficiency
    Applicants whose native language is not English (identified by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Public Affairs) must provide evidence of English language proficiency. The English proficiency requirement may be fulfilled by meeting one of the following: A TOEFL or IELTS score not more than two years old. Official score reports must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions by the Educational Testing Service. Use institution code 5025 for submission of official score reports. Unofficial copies of the score report may be included with the application for initial review and evaluation, but an official score report will be required for applicants who are offered admission.

    Exception: A TOEFL/IELTS score is not required of international applicants who have attended another U.S. institution and completed freshman English Composition I and II with a grade of "C" or higher.
