Combined Master of Business Administration/Master of Divinity
A combined degree program that elevates business studies to its highest caliber.
The Combined Master of Business Administration/Master of Divinity degree is designed for qualified students who seek career advantages in both preparing for the management of human, material and financial resources, as well as attaining theological training for ministers and other servant leaders. This unique program integrates a foundation of business administration into the local church or ministry setting.

The Master of Divinity degree is structured to give students the foundational tools for ministry, whatever that ministry might ultimately be: pastoral ministry, campus ministry, counseling, academic teaching, Christian education, evangelism and mission or administration.

The MBA curriculum prepares students for advancement into middle management or administrative levels by further developing management and leadership skills. The MBA program incorporates up to six credit hours of MDiv credit into the 36-hour MBA degree.
The Master of Divinity curriculum places students in church administrative ministries through the Mentoring Program and incorporates up to 12 credit hours of MBA core coursework into the 90-hour MDiv degree.
A full-time student could expect to complete both degrees in four years of study.
Students may waive all or part of the foundational business coursework requirement if they have satisfactory completion of equivalent undergraduate business courses as evidenced by their official transcripts.
Students who successfully complete Mercer's Combined MBA/MDiv degree program may go on to work professionally in positions including: chaplain, spiritual care manager, pastor, associate pastor, wealth manager or budget administrator.
Applicants must meet the admission requirements for both Mercer University's McAfee School of Theology and the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business. The Director of Admissions of the Stetson-Hatcher School of Business must evaluate the student's transcript before they are eligible to enter this track. A current GMAT or GRE score is required.
Applicants for Fall 2020 may be admitted without submitting test scores if they meet other admissions requirements.
The School of Business is also waiving application fees for Fall 2020.
