The 15-month Master of Science in Business Analytics program is designed for individuals who want to pursue or advance their career in the growing field of business analytics. This degree program combines business education with data retrieval, analysis and presentation skills that prepare students to become subject matter experts. Background knowledge or experience in business analytics is not required. This program will give students maximum exposure to the most commonly used software and techniques available in the field of business analytics. Students will learn statistical and visualization software including SPSS, STATA, R and Tableau.
The M.S. in Business Analytics is offered through Mercer’s Atlanta campus in a flexible hybrid format that offers convenience for busy working professionals.

Stetson School of Business and Economics also offers a Certificate Program in Data Analytics.
The Master of Science in Business Analytics curriculum focuses on developing an understanding of the performance of an organization through data and statistical methods. Culmination of the program is an Analytics Seminar. Students present their work and findings from their final projects alongside presentations from the industry leaders.
Students learn to become effective analysts and informed users of big data through examination of several key topics:
- Statistical modeling
- Data management
- Information security
- Online analytical processing (OLAP)
- Fact-based management to drive decision-making
Students enrolled in the Master of Science in Business Analytics program understand the need to interpret and analyze big data to inform effective decision-making. A structured curriculum and Saturday class schedule are attractive for the busy student who has a varied weekday schedule.
Whether coming from the private or public sector, this program prepares students from a variety of backgrounds and levels of work experience for successful careers in business analytics.

Mercer’s M.S. in Business Analytics degree program provides students the opportunity to enhance the skillset within their current positions or use the degree to launch a career in analytics. Recent graduates have successfully applied their newly gained knowledge and advancing in their careers. Upon completion of the program, graduates can go on to work as business professionals in positions including: credit analyst, data scientist, risk manager, healthcare data analyst or pricing strategy analyst.

Applicants for the Master of Science in Business Analytics program must hold a bachelor’s degree with a qualifying grade point average from a regionally accredited institution; a major in business is not required.

Submit the required application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Mercer University.
- Official GMAT or GRE Test Score
Applicants must take the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and achieve a qualifying score. Applicants holding a graduate degree from a regionally accredited college or university or an equivalent international graduate degree may waive the GMAT requirement. Unofficial copies of the score report may be included with the application for initial review and evaluation, but an official score report will be required for applicants who are offered admission.
- Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions
Submit an official transcript from each college or university previously attended. Former Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer University transcript.

Students enrolling in the M.S. in Business Analytics can take advantage of federal and/or private loan programs to assist with covering the costs of tuition. Non-U.S. citizens or students who graduated from a non-U.S. university must also complete the following requirements to be evaluated for admission:
- Evaluation of Foreign Credentials
Applicants who completed all or part of their education abroad are required to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service. A Course-by-Course and Grade Point Average Equivalent Evaluation is required for admission. You must submit an official sealed copy of your evaluation with your application materials.

- Official Translations
Documents submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by official translations.
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
A TOEFL or IELTS score not more than two years old is required for international applicants whose primary language is not English. Official score reports must be sent directly to the Office of Admissions by the Educational Testing Service. Use institution code 5025 for submission of official score reports. Unofficial copies of the score report may be included with the application for initial review and evaluation, but an official score report will be required for applicants who are offered admission.
Exception: A TOEFL score is not required of international applicants who have attended another U.S. institution and completed freshman English Composition I and II with a grade of "C" or higher.
