The Evening Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) provides a solid foundation in key business principles that will open doors for successful career change and advancement.  When combined with relevant work experience, a bachelor’s degree in business paves the way for positions in management and leadership.

The Evening BBA Program is offered at three metro Atlanta locations:

  • Our 300-acre Atlanta Campus inside the perimeter off of I-85 and I-285
  • Our Henry County Regional Academic Center in McDonough, off of I-75 south of Atlanta
  • Our Douglas County Regional Academic Center in Lithia Springs, off of I-20 west of Atlanta

You have the flexibility to mix and match courses across locations and online to complete the program, and your academic advisor will help you select courses and build your schedule each term.

Mercer's flexible format helps you maintain a manageable work-life balance:

  • An individual course meets one night per week.
  • Complete an entire course in an eight-week session.
  • Eight-week sessions enroll five times per year.
  • Comfortably take two classes per week to progress through the degree program more quickly.
  • Supplement on-campus classes with online courses each session or as needed.
  • Seamlessly transfer credits from other institutions to make all of your academic work count.

The Evening Bachelor of Business Administration Program opens doors for career changes through networking, building long-term relationships with faculty and peers, and participating in a business curriculum designed to encourage critical thinking and professional reinforcement in the business world. Upon completion, graduates will be able to demonstrate the business knowledge and preparation they have received and will move forward to pursue careers as effective business leaders.

Choose from three majors:
  • Accounting
    Build a solid academic foundation in preparation for a successful career in the accounting profession, whether in public accounting firms, government, corporations, or as an independent certified public accountant (CPA). Accountants often are required to hold a CPA designation, and Mercer graduates have a successful track record in obtaining this certification.

  • Human Resource Management
    Study modern personnel function and obtain the critical knowledge and skills set necessary to successfully develop the human resources of organizations. Foster your expertise in recruitment, employee selection, training, performance appraisal, wage and salary administration, employee benefits, safety management and collective bargaining in preparation to effectively build and grow an organization’s most important asset: its people.

Mercer’s Evening BBA Program enables you to customize your curriculum by choosing upper-level courses in popular business concentrations, such as Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Management, Economics and Marketing.

Students in the Evening BBA are transfer or adult students in the Atlanta metro area, looking to earn their BBA degree through evening and online courses. Students are typically working or have family responsibilities in addition to their academic life.
If you have already earned course credit at another accredited college or university, we’ve got you covered. Mercer’s comprehensive credit transfer policy allows students to easily apply credits already earned and move forward in their learning journey. Individuals with an associate degree or other previous course credits from a regionally accredited institution can transfer qualified credits towards the Evening Bachelor of Business Administration program.

Individuals who successfully complete Mercer's Bachelor of Business Administration degree program are prepared to work as business professionals in a wide variety of positions, including: account executive, sales representative, marketing or advertising coordinator, human resource specialist, compensation manager, office manager, credit manager, insurance agent or inventory control specialist.

Applicants for the Evening Bachelor of Business Administration Program should have a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale and must be in good standing with the most recent regionally accredited college or university attended.

Application Checklist
Submit all of the following items to complete your application to the program:
  • $25 Non-refundable Application Fee
    Submit the required application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Mercer University. Do not send cash. The application fee is non-refundable and cannot apply toward tuition.
  • Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions
    Submit an official transcript from every college or university previously attended regardless of length of stay (including undergraduate, graduate, summer school, and study abroad coursework). Former and current Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer University transcript. For assistance, contact business.admissions@mercer.edu.

Instructions for Transient Applicants
To enroll as a transient student, submit only the following items:
  • Application for Admission
  • $25 non-refundable application fee
  • Letter of authorization from your home institution that (1) certifies you are in good standing, (2) grants permission to take courses at Mercer and (3) specifies which course(s) may be taken.

Qualified undergraduate students at Mercer have the exclusive opportunity to pursue guaranteed admission into some of Stetson School of Business and Economics' graduate degree programs.

Students admitted through the Guaranteed Admission Program to a business graduate program are eligible for a 30% tuition discount and a waiver of the GMAT requirement.
