Build a solid academic foundation in preparation for a successful career in the accounting profession, whether in public accounting firms, government, corporations, or as an independent certified public accountant (CPA). Accountants often are required to hold a CPA designation, and Mercer graduates have a successful track record in obtaining this certification.

CAREER DEVELOPMENT
Individuals who successfully earn the bachelor of business administration degree with a major in accounting may pursue careers with public accounting firms, government agencies and corporations. Specific job titles include: audit associate, tax accountant, forensic accountant, personal financial planner, financial analyst, budget analyst, or accounts payable manager.
