The online and evening BBA program offers classes online and at Mercer's Atlanta Campus and Henry County Regional Academic Center. Students are admitted to the program five times per year in January, March, May, August, and October.

  • An individual course meets one night per week.
  • Complete an entire course in an eight-week session.
  • Eight-week sessions enroll five times per year.
  • Comfortably take two classes per week to progress through the degree program more quickly.
  • Supplement on-campus classes with online courses each session or as needed.
  • Seamlessly transfer credits from other institutions to make all of your academic work count.

The Bachelor of Business Administration Program opens doors for career changes through networking, building long-term relationships with faculty and peers, and participating in a business curriculum designed to encourage critical thinking and professional development in the business world. Students in these BBA programs are transfer or adult students in the Atlanta metro area, looking to earn their BBA degree through evening and online courses. Students are typically working or have family responsibilities in addition to their academic life.

Mercer's Bachelor of Business Administration degree program prepares students to work as business professionals in a wide variety of positions, including: account executive, sales representative, marketing or advertising coordinator, human resource specialist, compensation manager, office manager, credit manager, insurance agent or inventory control specialist. The Bachelor of Business Administration program enrolls students five times per year in January, March, May, August, and October.

  • $25 non-refundable Application Fee
    Submit the required application fee in the form of a check or money order made payable to Mercer University. Do not send cash. The application fee is non-refundable and cannot apply toward tuition
  • Transcripts from All Previously Attended Institutions

Submit an official transcript from every college or university previously attended regardless of length of stay (including undergraduate, graduate, summer school, and study abroad coursework). Former and current Mercer University students are not required to request a Mercer University transcript. For assistance, contact enroll@mercer.edu.

You may also wish to submit a résumé summarizing career and civic  involvement, though it is not required. Résumés may be submitted to enroll@mercer.edu.

Admission decisions cannot be made until all application materials have been received. International students have additional requirements (see Additional Requirements for International Applicants section below).

Instructions for Transient Applicants
To enroll as a transient student, submit only the following items:

  • Application for Admission
  • $25 non-refundable application fee
  • Letter of authorization from your home institution that (1) certifies you are in good standing, (2) grants permission to take courses at Mercer and (3) specifies which course(s) may be taken.

Additional Requirements for International Applicants

Non-U.S. citizens or students who graduated from a non-U.S. university must also complete the following requirements to be evaluated for admission:

  • Evaluation of Foreign Credentials

    Applicants who completed all or part of their education abroad are required to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service. This evaluation must be completed by an approved  NACES evaluator or Lisano International. We recommend using Josef Silny or World Education Services.

    Professional transcript evaluations of college or university transcripts must include a course-by-course evaluation with GPA calculation.

    We must have an original document provided by the evaluation service sent directly to Mercer University. Transcripts from any U.S. College attended must also be provided.

  • Official Translations

Documents submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by official translations.
 

  •  Proof of English Proficiency

Applicants whose native language is not English (identified by the U.S. Department of State Bureau of Public Affairs) must provide evidence of English language proficiency. The English proficiency requirement may be fulfilled by submitting one of the following: a TOEFL or IELTS test score no more than two years old. Mercer's School of Business also now accepts the Duolingo English Test as proof of English proficiency.

Unofficial copies of the score report may be submitted for initial application review and evaluation. An official score report is required upon admission. For TOEFL/IELTS scores, use institution code 5025 to submit official reports.

Exception: A TOEFL/IELTS/Duolingo score is not required of international applicants who have attended another U.S. institution and completed freshman English Composition I and II with a grade of "C" or higher.

Qualified students admitted through the Special Consideration Program to a business graduate program are eligible for a 30% tuition discount and a waiver of the GMAT exam requirement.

Students enrolling in the online or evening BBA can take advantage of federal and/or private loan programs to assist with covering the costs of tuition. Mercer University’s Office of Student Financial Planning is equipped to provide up-to-date information on financial assistance available to undergraduate students via federal loan programs.
