Dr. C. Asa Lambert

Assistant Professor of Finance

Biography

Dr. Lambert earned his PhD in Finance at the University of Tennessee’s Haslam College of Business. His research addresses contemporary issues in corporate finance and governance, behavioral finance, and asset pricing. Dr. Lambert’s work has been presented at a number of leading conferences and published in the prestigious Journal of Real Estate Finance and Economics. While at the University of Tennessee, Dr. Lambert served as president of the Haslam College of Business’s Doctoral Student Association and he earned the College’s Outstanding Graduate Teacher and Doctoral Leadership awards. Prior to commencing doctoral studies, Dr. Lambert earned a Master of Science in Finance at Florida State University and a Master of Business Administration at Georgia College. He returns to Mercer after having earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Philosophy at Mercer’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Dr. Lambert’s industry experience includes work as a FINRA Series 6 and 63-licensed financial specialist at Wachovia Bank, a credit analyst at Atlantic Southern Bank, and a credit counselor at Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Middle Georgia.
